There are also a couple of lengthy threads on Facebook Lactnet discussing
this product.

As I wrote on the other threads, I absolutely believe our human guts are
altered (in a bad way) by the generations of trauma-and-bad-eating-habits
that have preceded us. And it may well be that changes to the **lactating
parent's** diet to improve their gut, and thus the "messaging" to
breastmilk production, are warranted.

But I abhor the predatory marketing to sell this product, that cuts right
to the tender core of confidence of new breastfeeding/chestfeeding
families. This is the very sort of predatory marketing language the Intl
Code finds troublesome when attached to formula ads. It is about zeroing in
on the worries of the “vulnerable population” (Code’s phrase) of new
parents, to exploit their insecurities to commercial advantage.
Indeed, the International
Code was written because public health specialists recognized it is just
plain No Fair and Bad Marketing to make new families feel like their milk,
and supply of milk, and habits and lifestyles are "bad" for the baby. .

If you go to the Evivo website's professional resources page, there are
handy links to the research that was **funded** by Evolve, Inc. And to an
article published in a **NON-peer reviewed** journal, **written by** Evolve
scientists. The second one conveniently offering a half-page ad for Evivo.
All of it a professional conflict of interest . Note there are those that
suggest that this product only "works" as long as it is continually given.
Awfully nice for the company's bottom line.
