I received a message today from a mom who has been diagnosed with toxoplasmosis.  It manifested in an eye infection.  All of my reference books are at work and this mom left a message with Dr. Lawrence who hasn't yet gotten the message because of it being Fri. when she left it.  Anyway, all the involved physicians are telling her not to breastfeed and with the meds she'd be taking (antibiotics and prednisone) she wouldn't be able to continue anyway.  This mom already accessed the drug data bank about prednisone but the dr.s office ( nurse ) still says no.  Her Dr. won't research toxo either so she is looking everywhere for help. The baby is 2 months old.  Anybody out there have info on this Saturday afternoon??
