I Googled 'Allan Schore Infant Mental Health Journal 2001', as mentioned in
this interview with Dr. Nils Bergman
http://home.mweb.co.za/to/torngren/bergman-int.html - seems like there's
quite a bit out there about the harmful effects of 'distance' parenting, of
which one component is sleep training.

As Dr. Bergman says, "Nowadays we are bringing up children in a manner which
is essentially pathological" - we need only look at the huge increase in
depression, anxiety and sleep disorders, etc., to see the truth of that
statement.
