Yes!  I remember a radio broadcast on NPR several years ago that was similarly infuriating.  Entire show on breast cancer and how to minimize risk.  Not once did the person, female Dr., I believe mention breastfeeding.  A caller called in to mention the research in breastfeeding as a way to reduce risk in both mom and child.  The reply was yes but we don't want to recommend breastfeeding as an option since "American women don't want to have as many children and breastfeed as long as it would take to make a difference."  So leave us in ignorant bliss!
