Anecdotally (and from personal experience with my second baby) I know
that formula stresses the kidneys while breastmilk helps them. I'd
like to tap the experience of the Lactnet membership to help me compile
a summary of evidence which would be useful for both moms and docs
helping babies/kids with renal issues.

I am looking for papers and people to help me do this. More
specifically:
*Papers: on human milk and renal function; formula and decreased renal
function. *People: anyone with an special interest in renal
babies/kids? The name of nephrologist or nephrologic dietician who
supports human milk for renal babies (perhaps regularly prescribes
donor human milk for babies born with renal issues whose moms can't
provide milk for their own babies)? Even anyone (ie NICU nurse) who
has experience working with renal babies/kids, even if it's not a
special interest?

If you know of such papers, people, or are one of these people, would
you please email me at: [log in to unmask]

Thanks so much,
Katie Bredbeck
