Hi Everyone!
Doesn't the Haberman bottle work with compression and not suction?
Why would you want to use this very expensive bottle ($20.00+ in our area)
for a baby that can suck? These are designed for cleft palate babies and
such that cannot create suction and need to transfer the milk from the bottle
by compression. I have had some babies really start chomping at the breast
after using these bottles - trying too hard to compress Mom's breast/nipples.
Niples look compressed with white lines across the middle. If she is
supplementing by bottle, why not just a regular one with a wider base? It
has become popular lately around here to have Moms using Haberman's and I
feel that they are being way over used in most situations here.
I work with a WIC program and don't using many "gadgets" (we don't
have funding for them and the Mom's don't either). We have many :( that just
partially breastfeed and are using "dollar store" bottles and such. Regular
bottles have nipples in different flow rates depending on baby's age that she
could try. Is this baby really at the breast enough too? So many Moms with
supply issues I see really don't even get in enough feedings a day but think
they are "nursing all the time".

Good Luck!
