With reference to Christine's question regarding Celexa use, there is a new
article I just saw this a.m., CLIN PHARMACOL THER 2002; 72:84-91. (Clinical
Pharmacology and Therapeutics.) According to Reuters Medical News,
"Citalopram Therapy Appears Safe During Pregnancy":

"There is minimal exposure of the infants to the drug during lactation."

"Nine mothers in each group breastfed their infants. 'The citalopram and
metabolite concentrations in the milk were 2- to 3-fold higher than maternal
plasma concentrations, but the infant citalopram and metabolite plasma
concentrations were very low or undetectable' Dr. Heikkinen and colleagues
note."
