Hi all. Hope you've had a good summer. I've been swamped, so haven't been
on the list lately. Need to ask for your collective wisdom once again. One
of our fellow LactNuts has asked me to give a talk to the pediatricians at a
large hospital where I used to practice, talking about integrating BF support
into their practices. The hospital is generally quite BF friendly, w/ a high
initiation rate and a good LC staff, but lots of the docs are less
well-educated. I feel a little funny about being the one to give the talk,
since the person who asked me is an LLLL, and probably knows a lot more than
me in many ways, but the thought is that docs will respond better to another
doc who believes in what she's teaching.

So, what I'd really appreciate from any and all of you is the pearls I should
convey to them in a 45 minute talk (yeah right). I will be going to the
conference in Pocatello @ the end of this month, so hope to have a chance to
talk w/ Dr. Jack & Kathy D there, but I'm sure you all have thoughts about
important stuff to include, references, etc. I will of course use the AAP's
position paper as one of my primary references, but could really use other
supporting documentation, pearls, how to integrate their office staffs, etc.

Please reply privately as I am still no mail (on the road a lot this summer,
using other folks' computers to check my mail).

Many TIA.
