I was thinking reflux as well. Babies who are experiencing reflux when nursing will start to associate feedings with pain so they start to act fussy as soon as feeding is started. My other thoughts would be: thrush, ear infection or allergy. Sounds like time to refer to pediatrician and setting up appointment with mother after this visit to help correct any 'misleading' information mother may get about breastfeeding with x diagnosis.
