Jo-Anne,
I'm not sure that I understand what you are looking for. Isn't it the case
that attachment can only develop when the is positive interaction between
mother and child? Won't anything that is pleasurable for mother and child,
build attachment?  My thoughts that any interaction that involves connecting
via eye contact or separation and rejoining (ie object constancy stuff eg
peek a boo) would be part of the picture.
Is this the type of thing you are thinking of?
