Well, apparently my nipples were worse than this mothers. I used a syringe this way when I
was pregnant. It didn't keep my nipples out, but it was very helpful in giving me the
confidence that those tiny holes on my small areola actually hid nipples. But it wouldn't do the
miracle you describe, to get the nipple out for baby to latch on, it took months of lactating for
that to happen...

But in the end (after 6 weeks of bottle feeding expressed milk), she found out how the real
thing worked and it worked out well.
