Some people have queried the co-mothers about the nature of posts on LACTNET.

For those "oldsters" and "newbies", please note that this is a PUBLIC
forum. Flaming is not tolerated and violators will be removed after one
private warning. However, non-flaming comments about virtually anything is
certainly allowed.

Posts are NOT screened by the co-mothers in advance of their postings. If
someone says something that you wish to respond to, other LACTNETters may
do so either publicly (to all of LACTNET) or privately (to the individual
in question); your choice.

The intent of LACTNET from the inception is the free exchange of
information, ideas, etc. This cannot be maintained if only certain things
can be said. Politely, without flaming, humor obviously allowed--remember
the tongue tie tie exchanges?--and with an eye toward sharing feelings and
views.

We hope this clarifies the issue.
