Re the lanolin allergy:
Hopefully, her baby this time will attach well and she won't need
*anything* on her nipples! Especially now she has you helping her. ;-)

I might be stating the obvious, but if she really does want something
for sore nipples, has the mother actually tried the very highly
purified lanolins available, such as Lansinoh? Maybe she could try
some on another part of her skin to test it. Many people have
allergies to pharmaceutical-grade lanolin but do not react to these
purified ones, as the allergens have basically been removed. I
believe you have to be very highly sensitive to react to these.
