Tea bags are an old remedy for minor skin abrasions and burns. Tea bags
work well on sunburn, scrapes, etc. They are cooling and soothing and
the tannic acid should help healing. In the not-to-distant past when
there weren't nipple crèmes and hydrogels readily available, mothers
were offered cooled, wet tea bags to soothe sore nipple. For minor
abrasions of the nipple they worked just fine.
