I cannot provide an answer to the quesion about reduction in breast fullness at end of pregancy, but I would love to hear others' thoughts as I know someone in a simiar situation. I have a doula client right now whose husband left her when she was 5 months pregnant. She is due in August. They were only married last September. Needless to say, she is going through a very stressful time right now, including dealing with various threats from her husband. One day last week, she noticed that her breasts suddenly became less "veiny" and full and the areolae, which had darkened significantly in the pregnancy, became much lighter. She is worried that she will have a problem with milk supply. Could stress have caused a hormonal change responsible for this?

Thanks,
Julie Rosen, LLLL, CD, PCD (DONA), LCCE
