I also heard him on a show state that having a child should NOT change the
relationship between husband and wife...What a disservice to all new parents
out there.  He sort of sounded Ezzo-like in that he said, "Remember, these
babies are coming into your life and need to adjust to that."  I almost threw
something at the TV.  IMH Dr. Phil truly has a skewed view of family
dynamics, especially when it comes to newborns and their needs.  Boy, if a
baby doesn't change the family dynamics, there is someone in the house who's
needs are being severely neglected.  For those men who haven't quite figured
out that life truly will never be the same, Dr. Phil is doing them a
disservice.  For new moms who are experiencing difficulties in the transition
from not-a-mom to MOM, these statements could really heap on the guilt and
confusion which could lead to all kinds of unnecessary problems.
