I really like the LLLI packet "Candidiasis and Breastfeeding"- it covers
nipple yeast, systemic yeast, oral thrush, and vaginal yeast infections.  It
is fully documented and written the "yeast experts" of Amir, Hoover, and
Mulford.  Best yet, it costs only a few dollars.  It can be ordered through

  I answer more than my fair share of questions about the yeastie-beasties but
thankfully have no first hand knowledge of it.  I think a mother who has been
battling yeast would appreciate the information in the packet even though it
is written for the lactation consultant; the mother could read it through and
then share it with her own health care practitioner.
