My new Childbirth Graphics catalog came yesterday (they were a little
late for WBW orders around here!) and I was aghast to see - on the new!!
Page - the pink balloon breasts from Medela, complete with lactiferous
sinuses.
On a whim I called the company and told them they needed to get up to
date. The phone rep called me back a few minutes later and said the
development dept was working on new breast models, but they weren't sure
anyone would be interested in buying them, as they hadn't had any feed
back on the old models, and they are still selling just fine!
I suppose this goes with the discussion of "what's new in
breastfeeding" being ten years old - but doesn't it seem we would all
want the stuff that's correct? I also got to thinking about how the heck
you would make a model of "the new breast" and I think I will be quite
interested to see what they come up with!
