Nikki,

I don't understand your position on this and I humbly beg that you and others
who believe this to be true rethink this issue. The evidence that people see
that support their view that breastfeeding is no different in health outcomes
is because they are not looking at exclusive breastfeeding. They are seeing
mothers and babies who are also using infant formula and who may quit
breastfeeding early ( at 6 weeks). We have documented research that shows that there
is a dose related response to human milk. Our culture does not support
exclusive breastfeeding, does not even understand it.

I have read many, many patents in which human milk is discussed like it is
magic fairy dust written by researchers paid by the infant formula and drug
industry. We have human milk components/proteins that will be used to treat and
inactivate all the health problems you have mentioned. We even have bile
salt-activated lipase that will be used as a bioscavenger by the US and Canadian
Armies to treat victims of biological warfare agents. So when we talk about
magic fairy dust, I say to myself if the infant formula and drug industries
believe this to be true, then I say YES. If the Armies are using it to save
soldiers and civilians, I say YES! I think it's time that we started believing in
breastfeeding as the magic fairy dust in which we protect infants and the
human race. If our competitors believe it, why can't we?
