If somebody else posted about this already, sorry.

Theresa Chambliss (welcome!) asked about GOTHRUE as a
galactagogue. This could be Goat's Rue (Galega officinalis).
However (and there often is a however with herbs....), in
addition to being a "powerful galactagogue", according to my
favorite herbal medicine source, Goat's Rue is also a diuretic,
diaphoretic and "reduces blood sugar". Comments, anyone?
I have started hmmmming over galactagogues often (always?) being
diuretics, diaphoretics, whatever. Kind of getting all kinds of juices
flowing, maybe? Really out on a limb here, I think....

My herbal book
says to pour one cup of boiling water over one teaspoon of dried
Goat's Rue leaves and let steep for 10-15 minutes. Dosage of 2 cups a day is
suggested, but it doesn't say for what problem (i.e., to reduce
hyperglycemia, as galactagogue, or what. Judy Knopf, intrigued by
herbs, but cautious; don't you just love those names, though?
