I think it was Pat Gimas that I first heard say this.  I realy like it, but I usuaslly say it something like, "One of the dad's important jobs is thst he is the first one teaching baby that love doesn't hsve to come with food asttched."  I don't think this negates baby coming to the breast for more that just food.  We don't want babies to get the notion that food is the ONLY way that love is shown.  
  I think one piece of the obesity problem is that even as adults, people have the sttitude that you must eat what mom (or whoever) mkes for you or it means you don't love them, or the idea that food MUST be part of any social gathering.
