Terriann, I just stumbled across your post from many days ago and see
that several people have offered personal or clinical experiences to
back up their answer of HOGWASH, but no studies.

I know that I read a study fairly recently that does address this.
Mind you, this does not make it a recent study; only a study that I
read recently! Problem is, I can't find it right now. Further, I
can't remember if it said that it *is* or *isn't* a problem for older
moms. Maybe this doc is thinking about this study.

I'd be in no hurry to blame the mother's age, however. (Probably
because I am *much* older than this mom, so of course I don't want to
blame age!) I've seen plenty of moms, including a 48-year old whom I
talked to a few days ago, who can make plenty of milk. All of us
could think of a gazillion reasons why a mom can't make a enough
milk, and I doubt that "age" would be on the tips of any of our
tongues. If age *is* a factor, it's waaaaaay down the list from the
problems that are much more likely.

If you still need a reference on this, let me know, I'll go digging
more seriously.
