Denise,

I practice on a postpartum unit and in a hospital based post-partum
setting. Our hospital will not let us use syringes to evert nipples
since they were not designed for this purpose. They say that they are
governed by some _Medical Device Act_ which I assume is to protect
patients from "misuse" of medical equipment. I have not seen this
document and would love to hear comments from those who have. To be
able to use a syringe within my facility it would need to have a FDA
approval for this specific use.

In your note you referred to a p________. I hope that I am not
breaking rules by asking, but I don't know what you are referring to.
I must not be hearing the same comments that you are. Can you tell me what this is?
Best Regards
