Been lurking in the background for six months, "latching on" to all
your words of wisdom. Finally I will "let-down" my guard (or should I
say shield? No, I won't use that word) and "pump" all of you for
information. I am an RN, Childbirth Educator, and IBCLC and my employer
(a three-hospital network) has finally approved a Lactation Program. I
am one of two IBCLC's who will be the hospital's LC's if the final
hurdle is overcome and that issue is the salary issue. Our personnel
department wants to talk to their counterparts at hospitals outside
Indianapolis who employ Lactation Consultants. If anyone who works as
an LC for a hospital would be willing to E-mail just your hospital's
name and address to me, I could get this process completed. Thanks so
much. And hey, Pat Bull: you and Madeline told me to be patient and the
position would happen--You were right!!! Thanks for all your
encouragement! Terri [log in to unmask]
