Kudos to the mom and you for working so hard to keep this breastfeeding relationship!

I have three questions:

Is mom taking a hormonal birth control?

The 9 1/2 month old not interested in baby food, has mom been trying baby-led solids, or trying pureed/mashed foods? 

Also, how is he being fed when she is in her cycle (I'm assuming previously pumped milk with a bottle, but just wanted to confirm)?
