Kellie,
I think that many physicians are unaware of Medications and Mother's Milk.  I work at a county health department and we received a breastfeeding grant last year, and one of the objectives included physician education.  As part of our education, we purchased copies of Medications and Mother's Milk for all the health care provider's offices in our area, as well as the pharmacies, hospital radiology and OB departments, and anyone else we could think of whose patients might benefit from the book.  We explained to them how to use the book, letting them know that it provided evidence-based, up-to-date information.  I was shocked at how few of the practitioners had even heard about this book!  It is not something they are made aware of during their education, apparently.  So we have to be the ones to inform them of this wonderful resource.  None of the providers refused to take the book, and I do know that at least some are using it now, so I feel that it was worth every dollar (and every minute) we spent!
