Re:Breastfeeding and menopause
I had an interesting question recently about BF and menopause. With
older moms, does menopause occur while breastfeeding, does it delay
onset or reduce symptoms. Does menopause have any effect on milk
supply or composition? Has anyone had any experience with this?

Re: Breastmilk & life support
I have a friend whose 16 year old daughter was in a car accident and
is on life support. She has a closed head injury and was in a coma
for several days. My friend is still breastfeeding her one year old,
but has been separated a lot while at the hospital. The hospital has
provided her a pump and kit. She is pumping as she gets full and
saving the milk. At feeding times, they have been giving her daughter
the pumped milk. It is easy to digest, offers antibodies for her
pneumonia and provides fatty acids and growth hormones for brain
tissue regeneration. The hospital is being very supportive. Has
anyone else had experience with this?
