I like the idea of Prolacta rather than using the separated fat from human milk.  Reason being is that at that weight and prematurily, this baby needs more than just the calories for catch up.  The provision of extra protein, calcium and phosphorous, etc in the fortifier will provide the extra this baby needs (which he would otherwise build up in the womb in the last few weeks gestation).  Fat alone would be more appropriate for a late preterm or larger neonate in need of extra calories only.  Is there a neonatal dietitian in your group that can brainstorm this issue with you and together you can come up with the best solution?
