I had a funny breastfeeding situation at work the other day and
wanted to share it with you. I had brought a copy of 'Breast is Best"
into work for a mom who is in my classes, for her to view. When she had
finished with it she had placed it on the nursing station desk that was
in full view for everyone to see ( remembering this is a
multidisciplinary unit: obs, surgery, meds, and peds). When I had come
on duty I looked for that video for a good 10 minutes,it was no where
to be found.
Finally a young sixteen year old male creeped up to the desk and
tried to slip the video on the desk without being seen. Of course, I
caught him and asked him what he thought of the movie. He grinned,
knowing that he got caught thinking this might have been an adult movie.
All he could say was " I will never look at them the same way again".
I had a good chuckle and then figured that indirectly a little
breastfeeding education had been done without any planning at all.

Chalk one up for bf,
