I'm beginning to think that knowing the risks of formula won't make much
difference for most mothers. Many come from a mindset of the tree w/o the
escalator (just got off the phone with two of these); and that in their mind, formula
isn't as good as breastmilk, but a) my other children did fine b) I did fine
c) my neighbor's kid did fine.....

And besides, now it's just like breastmilk, so why push it?

For someone who wants to smoke and likes to smoke, telling them the risks of
smoking doesn't cut it. For those who thinks that McD's is the end all and be
all of exotic cuisine, discussing the risks of saturated fat isn't gonna do
anything.

This isn't meant to be a mother-fault diatribe. I just am having a day in
which all the forces of formula are conspiring to give me a totally rotten
Monday.
