<<if that is her choice, as opposed to the right of the baby to be
breastfed? I see
something of a potential conflict here, and I would like to know how others
see the resolution of that conflict - ie who wins? And why? >>

things that I can think of relative to resolution:1: encouraging the
parents to learn the babies cues and behaviors early on ~the baby states the
preference as it emerges into the world and thereafter when it is hungry for
mother or for food. Look, listen and respond to the language of the baby. It
is the quickest route to achieving parental identity.

2. From Amy Spangler's video actually it is a voiceless video it must be
text on the case. Help the mother to understand that "breastfeeding is
right for all babies." Help the practitioner to under stand that
"breastfeeding is not right for all mothers"
