AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHH!

What is it with these people? I can't hold MY baby??!!? Can someone PLEASE
explain to me what makes these people (Denny's included) think they can make
such decisions? I just can't seem to get it. Ooh, she's MY baby. Sorry
you're gonna have to come up with a better reason than that to keep me from
holding her.

I guess I wouldn't be a very good mother of a hospitalized infant ... oh,
wait, I DID have a hospitalized infant. Her care went just the way I wanted
it to (after I told the ER doc I would be staying for the spinal tap). I
even had a regular hospital bed brought in and the crib removed so we could
sleep together. AND, I DID *mention* the hospitals attempt to have excellent
patient satisfaction when I was met with resistance to my requests. And I
was never afraid that Madeline's care would be substandard because I might
have been seen by some staff as demanding.

When I teach classes I remind moms and dads that THEY are the parents of
their children. They have rights and need to learn them.
