Jan,
Is it possible that the baby  has gotten used to a fast and constant flow and
is not content to wait for letdowns?  He sounds pretty impatient.  Maybe some
massage and compression to keep the flow going to him would help.  Another
thought would be possible Reflux.  We have seen these screaming meemees
before that couldn't be calmed and it turned out to be reflux.  It sounds
like he calms after feeding though .  Is mom indulging in too much caffeine?
Baby does sound a little wired for sound.
