One of my nursing moms is suddenly dealing with her child developing eczema
at 5.5 months. This child is exclusively breastfed. She was using
unscented
laundry detergent, and it she believes that it may have been triggered by
the use of heavy duty laundry detergent used at a friend's home. They also
had
a dog. It is still in full force all over his body, but seriously
concentrated on thighs to the ankles. It is also in his anus and scrotum.
 This
little guy is miserable. Her child is not vaccinated, so it could not be
vaccine
related. Around this time, this mother also ate a small dish of cashews.

This mom is going crazy with this issue. This mother really doesn't
understand how this could be related to the child's diet, since it took so
long to
develop. Has anyone out there had a lot of experience with eczema. Her
ped
is driving her a bit nuts with the diet, and has asked her to remove milk,
soy, eggs, nuts, and citrus. She needs to go to a nutritionist to deal
with her
diet because she can't figure out how to eat. I understand her issues
with
diet change considering this LATE onset. Perhaps her son has developed an
intolerance?

Anyhow, I just wanted to pick brains of those who have had or worked with
eczema babies.
