I am working with a mom who has just brought her nearly 3-month old daughter
home from the hospital for the first time. Baby has multiple problems
including Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome and Dandy Walker. She is being fed by
a gastric tube with pumped breastmilk mixed with powdered formula for
additional calories. At night, the mom was instructed to give continuous
feeds, changing the bag after 4 hours. Mom says that baby is sleeping 7
hours at night. Obviously this mother is under a great deal of stress, and
she would also like to be able to get 7 hours sleep. Is there a good reason
why she must change the bag after 4 hours?

been pleased to see them extended in recent years!!!
