I understand from recent studies that it is not the containers that redice
the antioxidants (and antibiotic properties) in breast milk but the freezing
process itself - or prolonged refrigeration. I now advise mums going back to
work to try and pump not more than two days ahead so that milk can be kept
in refrigerator for that period but not frozen.
Of course the odd emergency bag or two could be kept frozen - it is still
better than formula - but as a routine, on the basis of this information I
do not now advise keeping a stock of expressed milk frozen.

Subject: Milk storage, why dedicated breastmilk storage bags?
