I hate hospital policy! There I have said it! The only thing hospital policy
seeks to do, and very badly sometimes,is to limit the hospitals liability. I
guess I have seen to many questionable hospital policies in my time.

Hopefully with the move to evidence based care the question will eventually
be: Did your practice comply with Best Standards? What does the evidence say
- not the hospital policy.

They should be called practice guidelines. Lets put humanity back into care.

Just think how in demand lactation expertise would be!

Sounds like the nurse it Lorri's story should be working with anaethetised
patients!
