AnneMarie,
Had a case similar to this some years back, only mom had twins, very
committed to breastfeeding. She did have a wide space between breasts, and
tubular shaped breasts with the bulbous areolas. Babies both had fantastic
latches and fed well. She produced minimally. We used the SNS to supplement
and she pumped! She wanted it to work and was distressed when she was not
producing well. Her daughter went on to breastfeed partially and loved it.
She was nursed for quite some time. Her son gave it up as soon as bottles
were started. She enjoyed nursing her daughter even though she called me many
times to ask how she could get her family off her back about nursing her
daughter at night "because she didn't have much milk so why bother anyway?" I
was one of the few who gave her support to nurse for the enjoyment , the
comfort and the droplets of milk she did have. She wqas happy there was
somenone in her corner since she enjoyed the time she nursed her daughter.

Good luck
