Green colostrum
Please help! Can anyone explain how a mother can, on day 2, pump pea-green
colostrum? She obtained about 20cc of this opaque, very green liquid. Mom
is healthy. Unremarkable history. Baby in NICU for reasons obviously
unrelated to mom's colostrum but this makes us a little more anxious to
understand this green color.

Black stools
Have now encountered two babies whose stools became black on day 5-6 (after
having breastmilk stools) within 24 hours of baby being exposed to home
therapy on bili blanket. Nurse administering treatment said to expect black
stools as bili broke down. Physician I asked about this thought this was
nonsense. Stool aparently looks very like meconium. Any thoughts?
