Hi Everyone,
I am hoping someone can help me find research on the harmful effects of
sleep training, both on breastfeeding as well as on the emotional development
of the child. I recently attended a lecture on sleep training for our community
health workers, in which the presenter gave a great deal of misinformation on
breastfeeding. I have been asked to correct the breastfeeding information for
the benefit of those who attended this presentation, but I would also like to
give some research based info on why attatchment parenting is a better
choice than sleep training (the "cry it out method").

Warmly,
Susie McCulloch, LLLL IBCLC
