Hi everyone,

I did not intend my post to come across as what is followed throughout
Vietnam, but I felt that my mil's experience would help Hannah with the moms
she is helping. Generalizations may not be appropriate, but it can help get
a feel for other people and their traditions. I know very well from my own
experience with my husband and his family. I learned early on that what I
learned in my Vietnamese class did not always apply to his family. Even the
language. It did give me a place in which to start---to understand----to
communicate. I have fumble for many years trying to find my way in his
family. It helps to have a place to begin. Breastfeeding has helped me to
form another connection/bond with my mil.

Aloha,
Gloria Thai LLLLeader Hawai'i
