Hi All,

This may be helpful for some of you, as I have noticed a lot of inquiries
recently regarding the thyroid. Below is a website that will provide you
with the Endocrine Society's Clinical Guidelines for the Management of
Thyroid Dysfunction during Pregnancy and Postpartum. It's a wonderful
packet (I recommend printing it, as it's a bit 'meaty' and its wealth of
information may get lost when reading it on the computer screen) that
discusses the various types of thyroid disorders and how it pertains to the
population we are working with. Per the Clinical Practice Guidelines within
it, the recommendation is for a pregnant/postpartum woman to have a TSH <
2.5 if she has hypothyroidism.
