After reading about Jan's awful day with the pedi and frenulum
clipping, I have a good experience. A bf baby in our Level II nursery
for jaundice and phototherapy was noted to have a tight frenulum and
difficulty nursing. One of my lactation staff sent a consult to the
ENT dept. (we are an HMO with specialists on site). Much to our
surprise the newest member of the staff (looks like he is right out
of training) came to examine the baby and CLIPPED THE FRENULUM!!!!
When he came to check on the baby the next day, I thanked him for his
support and he said he knows that short frenulums are a problem with
bf and he will be glad to help us out anytime! Maybe we can clone him
for you!
