"just trust me on this one" ?!?!

Perhaps that was relative to the recent Vioxx faux pas as well? Oh wait -
people don't die from mere faux pas.

Excuse my acrimony, but the FDA is a prime example of the wolf guarding the
sheep. Not only does the pharmaceutical industry have carte blanche, they
have been given the right and the means to legally rob taxpayers and
patients of their money and health.

I can't tell you how many elderly patient's in the past that I took care of
who would call and say "I can only afford 2 of my 5 prescriptions this month
- which ones should I choose?" and all were equally important. If the prices
were forced down to reasonable levels, this wouldn't have been the case.
While I am all for the free market and supply vs. demand when it comes to
cars, computers and clothing - those items don't make the difference between
life and death for people. Drugs do.

When will the public realize that any industry who polices itself, does it's
own "research" and owns an entire government agency is NOT to be trusted!

Domperidone is the tip of the iceberg, but a solid indicator of what's
really going on behind closed doors.

Michelle
