I believe I recall a lactnet post several years back that said a mother had 
gotten blisters from Hand, foot and mouth.  MY daughter had it
while I was breastfeeding her and I never got it but her dad and older brother 
did.  If the mom gets blisters then consideration for herpes simplex should also 
be considered.. Hand foot and mouth can mimic it.  When my daughter had it she 
did not get any blisters except in her throat.  I only figured out it was hand, 
foot and mouth because the other two had classic symptoms.   

Hand foot and mouth is not an indication for interrupting breastfeeding.
