The attached and similar photos have been making the rounds of the pilot discussion forums in recent days.

It demonstrates that any attempt to put something into the atmosphere to "shade the planet" is going to be frustrated by the record-breaking jet-streams, also a symptom of the anthropocentric global warming.
Top left, "GS = 725", meaning a ground speed of 725 knots (834 mph) but "TAS= 502", a True Airspeed of only 502 knots, so he has a 223 knot tailwind! 

From the locations of airports (KBOS = Boston, MA,  KEWR = Newark, NJ, and the two JFK airport (NYC) VOR ("very high frequency omni-directional range") signals, this airplane was just south of Long Island, NY.
