Ja!  volves vent extinct around here qvite some time ago! :)

But seriously, I doubt even a baby mouse could get through 1/4" mesh.  Same
height wide slot, different matter.  I use 1/4" mesh against rodents and
shrews, they do get blocked up sometimes, I went around checking my
entrances and raking a few out yesterday.  Mild winter here, nothing we
would call a cold snap even, and effectively a snow drought.
