I appreciate the posts in reply to my request for evidence that top
entrances actually substantially reduce moisture accumulation.
There are plenty of anecdotal reports and parroted claims that they do,
since they "make sense," but I've learned that many things that "make
sense" in beekeeping are not supported by evidence.

The hard data data that I've seen so far from other researchers, including
my own measurements, make me increasingly skeptical that top entrances
actually substantially reduce moisture accumulation.

Please, if anyone has hard data, photographs, or knowledge of studies that
showed substantial reduction in hive moisture due solely to top entrances,
please post or email me privately.
This is a question that has been debated for far too long -- hard data from
photographic evidence or controlled experiments with the single variable of
a top entrance should be able to answer it.

Thank you.
