Quoting the original post, we find that the use of the term "transistor" in the subject line was going a bit too far:

"Engineers at Washington State University have created memristors by processing honey into a solid form and sandwiching it between two metal electrodes."

A memristor is a semiconductor with two leads (two electrodes, so two leads) .

A diode is also a semiconductor with two leads.

A transistor has three leads, so "triode", and they don’t have one of those yet.

So, best I can do for you is a crystal radio, but you should be able to tune in  WBZ-AM Boston during the day, and likely WCBS-AM New York at night.
