The realized value of many a variable is not appreciated until approaching the borders where viability is marginal at best.  If beekeeping, as many claim, is becoming more difficult in general due to our changing practices, there may be more attention paid to the small percentage efficiencies that may be available in some parts of our operations. 

For certain there will be promoters of ideas that will fill their pockets rather than those of the would be consumers.
